Billy Oirish Racing Radical SR8 Championship Rules and Regulations
1. General:
1.1 Billy Oirish Racing promotes and runs the Radical SR8 Championship. This Series will comprise of 12 rounds, and the points accumulated from each round will count towards the Radical SR8 Championship.
2. Calendar 2025 Season 1:
2.1 The tracks will comprise of the following and their order will be randomly selected by a google randomiser:

4. Classes:
4.1 Billy Oirish Racing Radical SR8 Championship will consist of the following classes:
- Pro
- Am
4.2 You will be placed in a class depending on your iRating. Details will be provided on Discord.
4.3 Any driver judged by the stewards to be too fast for the AM class, i.e., performing noticeably above their competitors in race conditions for the first 3 rounds of the series will be moved up to the Pro class automatically and receive a 20 championship point deduction.
5. Billy Oirish Racing SR8 Championship Membership:
5.1 All competitors in the Billy Oirish Racing Radical Sr8 Championship must have paid for entry prior to the beginning of the series.
5.2 The minimum age for entry is 14 on the date of the first qualifying session.
6. Championship:
6.1 The number of events in the series is set to 12 rounds utilising the iRacing platform.
6.2 Each round will utilise the Radical SR8. This car is available as standard in iRacing. A maximum of 60 cars will be admitted per round. Championship registration/entry will be given priority in the order below:
- Have competed in a previous year’s championship and scored points.
- Have competed in previous rounds of the championship.
- New entrants.
6.3 Entries for the series will close on May 18th, 2025.
6.4 There will be a Sprint race of 30 Minutes:

*Nürburgring will not have a free practice session. Only qualifying.
6.5 The 2025 Billy Oirish Racing Championship Pro and AM drivers’ titles will be awarded to the drivers who have scored the highest number of points in each category during the 2025 first season.
6.6 Points will only count for 11 of the 12 proposed rounds. Each driver may drop their worst score across the season.
6.7 Drivers must take part in at least one of the four opening rounds of the championship to be eligible to attend the second half of the season.
6.8 To be eligible to score points, drivers must be classified as running by iRacing at the end of a race.
6.9 Points will be awarded in Sprint races as follows:

6.10 Force Majeure:
Should an event be suspended due to ‘force majeure’ (e.g., technical issues), the following will happen:
- Before qualifying has started: Organisers will try to reschedule that round towards the end of the season.
- Before a race has finished: The feature race points system will be used to award points as per the qualifying positions.
- If a race is run to completion: The results will stand unless a notice of cancellation was made during the race. If cancelled mid-race, it must be announced to all drivers via iRacing voice comms before the race finishes.
6.11 Tie-Breaker Rules:
Should two or more drivers finish the series with the same number of points, the championship will be awarded to the driver who has:
- The greatest number of wins.
- If tied, the greatest number of second places.
- If tied, the greatest number of third places, and so on until a winner emerges.
6.12 Registration Rejection:
The organisers reserve the right to reject the registration of any participant without specifying the reason.
7. Event Details:
7. The event will start with a practice session at 9PM UK.
7.1 All races will use a standing start procedure, with the exception of Daytona.
7.2 All races will be open setup.
8. Conduct and Demeanor:
8.1 Drivers are responsible for their conduct and that of team members or family.
8.2 Drivers must act professionally and courteously.
8.3 Drivers must obey organisers’ directions.
9. Driving Etiquette:
9.1 Entrants are expected to be courteous, giving back positions gained unfairly.
9.2 iRacing penalties apply at 17 incident points, with an additional penalty every 5 points thereafter.
9.3 Two fast repairs will be available in each sprint race.
9.4 On-track conduct includes:
- Giving sufficient racing room (at least a car’s width).
- Not rejoining the track in a way that causes incidents.
- Returning positions gained via excessive contact.
- Taking a drive-through penalty for collisions on Lap 1 that cause spins or off-track incidents.
- Using the iRacing voice channel only for race-relevant communication.
- Defending positions without deliberate hindrance or crowding.
9.5 Drivers must use at least two of the following tools to ensure awareness:
- Relative screen (F3).
- Race Lab Apps Radar.
- Crew Chief Spotter.
9.6 Drivers must have the Porsche Cup Discord channel active during races, using push-to-talk only.
10. Track Limits:
10.1 Track limits are as per iRacing automated limits (incident points and slowdowns).
10.2 For close racing, track limits are defined by the solid white lines on each side of the track. Curbs, run-off areas, grass, and gravel are not considered part of the track.
11. Paints and Decals:
11.1 Drivers must display current championship decals during official sessions.
11.2 Profanity, nudity, or political content is not permitted on cars.
